Quantity Expression


1. Some (beberapa) (+)
Example:
There are some students in front of the museum.
Any (beberapa) (-) and (?)
Example:
She didn’t need any sugar for her coffee.
Did she need any sugar for her coffee?
Some and any are followed by countable (dapat dihitung) and uncountable (tak dapat dihitung) noun (plural).
2. Many  It is followed by countable noun (plural).
Example:
I saw many cows in the garden.
Much  It is followed by uncountable noun.
Example:
John has much money.
A lot of  It is followed by countable and uncountable noun.
Example:
I need a lot of paint the wall.
3. Few and A few (sedikit)  It is followed by countable noun (jamak).
Example:
Hasan made a few mistakes.
Hasan made few mistakes.
4. Little and A little (sedikit)  It is followed by uncountable noun.
Example:
I have a little money.
I have little money.
Both (keduanya)
Example:
5. Both of the girls are beautiful.
Several (beberapa)
Example:
Several cats are running.
All (semua)
Example:
All people need water in their lives.
They are followed by countable noun (plural).
